Welcome to my April, 2026 newsletter!
Quite a lot has transpired over the past month, but unfortunately, not much of it has been art-related. My husband was hospitalized for a week due to fluid in his lungs. A tube was inserted to drain the fluid, but the source of the fluid remained unidentified. Despite numerous tests and repeated consultations, he was discharged with numerous doctor appointments and physical therapy sessions. He is now much better. Currently, he is on oxygen, and physical therapy is significantly aiding him in regaining his strength.
In addition, my CT scan I have done periodically because of my cancer journey came back "suspicious" and I am going for a PET scan next week. I am hoping it is just an infection, but if it is not, I have been down this road before, and I leave it in God's hands. My mantra is and always will be "I am fine, God is just adding to my testimony".
I’ve listed the five pieces of artwork available for auction in April. The auction will run until April 8, 2026, at 12:19 pm. The minimum bid is $20, and there’s free shipping!
A lot of you know we had a fifth wheel we traveled in and we decided to downsize so that I could drive and handle it if BH wasn't feeling up to par. I have shown below our 2021 Sunseeker we just got and traded in our 2018 Fifth Wheel. I am excited on taking a couple days and head to Grapevine to she how she does. I have named her "Suncatcher" as I am always looking for the next beautiful sunset.
Exhibitions are heating up in the next couple of months, and I have a lot of paintings to get done and get framed to enter.
I tried my hand at my first oil painting. I may be hooked 😁. I paint in a lot of different mediums but oil has never been one I have tried. I will put a photo of my first Chickadee in oil below.
That is about all I have for this month. Not too eventful except for the health situations. I look forward to hearing from you, and don't forget to grab a favorite painting in my auction this month if you find one you like. Thank you for your support.
